Salmon sharks got me thinking about salmon, and now I’m hungry. Any cursed or blessed facts about these delicious fish?

The lust is powerful

When they do this, they are dying. As soon as they leave saltwater and head up the river, they stop eating. You can’t catch them by enticing them to eat the fly; you can only snag them in the face. They do not care for food.
When they reach this stage, their flesh has gone soft. A scratch or a hook will gouge out chunks of already-pale meat and the fish goes on.
Spawning consists of wriggling on rocks, which causes flesh to tear: they do not care. They are zombies as soon as they’re into their home stream, and the transformation into undead fish is fast.
Toward the end of the season, the rivers are littered with the corpses of salmon, and even the bears don’t care because they have gorged.

when i was 12 i made flyers for my fanfiction and handed them out a train station

im blown away by the sheer confidence this act required. if anything my opinion has been raised. the poise. the fearlessness. the laughing in the face of death. i’m speechless
